If there is any one product that embodies everything that namuk stands for, then it’s this jacket.
The Seven ski jacket is versatile, funky, functional and finished with a fiercely high level of care and detail. The fundamental concept for the design was based on a “Living Wall” – a wall made of stone, which comes to life when moss or grass, and water and small animals thrive on it. Visually inspired by the children’s book «The Wolves of Currumpaw», by William Grill, the pattern covers the jacket as an all-over print, like an endless story.
It goes without saying that the jacket is warm, keeps kids dry and is breathable. It’s a true namuk piece, after all. On the trail of completely sustainable, biodegradable outdoor clothing for children, we have taken a giant step towards our goal: with we are using biodegradable* fabric made from 100% recycled synthetic fibres for the first time. A revolutionary breakthrough for the insulation of our winter jackets, that delivers unprecedented levels of performance and sustainability, dramatically reducing the amount of micro-plastics in our landfills and oceans.
But the Seven ski jacket wouldn't be from namuk if that was all it took: a hidden key holder and a waste bag are just as much a part of the features as the Overall Connection System, which ensures that the jacket can be connected to any pair of ski pants. You can almost feel sorry for the parents.
Note: *93.8% biodegradation in 646 days under ASTM D5511 conditions (accelerated landfill environment); 76.6% biodegradation in 973 days under ASTM D6691 conditions (accelerated marine/ocean environment); 17.8% biodegradation in 241 days under ASTM D5210 conditions (wastewater environment). The stated rate and extent of degradation do not mean that the product will continue to degrade.
